British Airways recently announced its upgrade plans for its Business Class section. Their new Business Class Flatbed, called Club World, is 25 percent wider, offering more storage and privacy, and - all around - more comfort.The six-foot flatbed, will also offer a "z" bed position, extending to 6 feet, 6 inches. (BA says the "z" position is ideal for watching movies.) Each seat will have its own privacy screen and a laptop locker, which will be large enough to store electronic items, a carry-on bag, and shoes. Also included, at each seat, will be a power socket.
The business class entertainment system is also being upgraded: In Club World, travellers will be able to view up to 100 films and TV programs, along with several games, on a personal, 10-inch digital screen. All entertainment programs in Club World can be paused, stopped, fast-forwarded, and rewound.
Finally, the Club Kitchen will allow travellers to enjoy both hot or cold snacks in between meals, in flight.
The introduction of Club World will take up to 18 months to complete, but look for service to begin on some aircrafts already at the end of November.
